The Western Galilee Business Development Center is a non-profit public agency. The purpose of witch is to aid in establishing new businesses, supporting and expanding existing businesses, and providing business guidance during the first few business years.

Western Galilee M.A.T.I. was founded with the aid of government offices, the Jewish Agency, Local Authorities, Regional Authorities and representatives of the local business community. M.A.T.I.'s goal is to encourage economic growth in The Western Galilee and to aid in creating new jobs in the business sector.

Experience, both worldwide and locally, has shown especially high success rates for businesses that in their initial stages were helped by professional advice on business and raising funds. M.A.T.I. offers its services to small business (Up to 100 workers).

An annual average of approximately 100 entrepreneurs and business people, have benefited from the services of the Western Galilee Business Development Center during the last three years. About 350 of them have received individual consultation of between 4-180 hours. Private consultants recruited on the open market provide some of the consultation and M.A.T.I. economists handle a small portion. An annual average of 350 entrepreneurs and business people participate in courses and workshops.

About 180 applicants per year, on average, are referred for loans as well as assistance in preparing business plans.
